Thanks for visiting! It’s great to have you here.
In respect to my husband, I’ll only be using letters to identify my family. ‘W’ is for my husband, ‘WJ’ is for my son, and ‘C’ represents my daughter.
I’ve decided to start this blog for a few reasons. One is to keep family members and close friends up to date on what’s going on here on the homefront. I’m not a big phone person, and am a stickler when it comes to writing any sort of email, so my hope is that this will be a way to keep those interested up to date in a timely fashion.
I also hope that some may stumble upon this blog who have been struggling under a similar situation, and can find some support by reading about my experiences. I have found that bipolar is still an isolating illness, with much stigma still attached, and it can feel very lonely when you are close to someone who is suffering from it.
And finally, I hope that by writing about my life with W, it will help me put things in perspective, and keep me a little more grounded. It’s easy to turn inward and keep things pushed down when you’re trying to hold so much together, but I’ve come to realize the importance of sharing the burden. I’m trying to work past my pride and do that more.
Again, welcome, and feel free to comment as you’d like, and email me if you would like to chat!
